A stormy sky and inspiration from the curious name Black Cap, which is one of the Beacons along the South Downs ridge and a well-known beauty spot with hill top views and local landmark near Lewes.

Ominous clouds represent the stormy 'black cap' but in reality the name for the Black Cap beacon is thought to have most likely originated from the Black Cap Mill (which had a black roof) and was close by to the hill top.

Painted in lightfast inks on primed premium birchwood panel, title, date and signature on the back.

Framed in off white wood tray frame, fitted with 2 metal D-rings and ready to hang.
