This little painting captures the memories of days at the rock pools at beach like Rottingdean. That perfect whiteness of the surf. The exhilaration of the tide filling and emptying those little pools, those tiny worlds. Heavenly cauliflower clouds touched with pink. The suggestion of distant cliffs hugging the coastline. And me, coming come sun-kissed and salty, exhausted from a day of fresh sea air.
