This little painting captures the memories of days by the rock pools at beaches like Rottingdean. That perfect whiteness of the surf. The exhilaration of the tide filling and emptying the little pools, those tiny worlds. Heavenly cauliflower clouds touched with pink. The suggestion of distant cliffs hugging the coastline. And me, coming come sun-kissed and salty, exhausted from a day of fresh sea air.
