Available from Chalk Gallery Lewes, this original ink painting is inspired by the breathtaking views of the South Downs and the Weald from Ditchling Beacon. It's one of my most favourite places in East Sussex because of its commanding panoramic views in all directions and the highest point in East Sussex and the third highest on the South Downs. The chalk paths along the top near Ditchling Beacon are dotted with wild flowers and blossoming Gauze and May bushes during spring and summertime which appear above the low level cloud and mist in my painting creating a heavenly scene in the sunshine.
Painted using lightfast inks onto a primed birchwood premium panel. Title, date and birchwood and signed on the back. Fitted with 2 x metal D-rings/unframed but ready to hang.
