A nostalgic little painting brought on by the mixed feelings about the passing of summer, noticing the unmistakable signs of change.  The sun steadily lower, earlier every day, the light being more golden, the deeper shadows, trees already changing colour with a scattering of papery leaves underfoot. A time of reflection and acceptance, but this year also relief and concern.
