As an artist I am constantly distracted by what I see and this year it has seems to me that everything somehow looks clearer and more sparkling than before. Maybe its just perception after having been 'locked down' for weeks or its simply the lower pollution levels? Here's a beautiful beach at Rottingdean near Brighton in Sussex which I visited earlier this week and if you don't know it, it is especially good for cliff walks and rockpooling. Spending time outdoors is a great source of inspiration for new paintings and I look forward to making the most of the long, warm days and being inspired in the weeks ahead.
